Babs Costanzo and her husband, Cuyler, own the Bio-One of Akron. Babs is a life-long resident of the Akron area. She started her career in television news, anchoring and reporting stories throughout Northeast Ohio. One story stayed with her. A grieving mother had no one to turn to for help after the coroner took her daughter away. Years later, the unthinkable happened to a friend, who also was left alone in the house after the passing of her child and couldn’t bring herself to enter the room where the tragedy occurred. Babs recognized a desperate need to help people during their darkest times. She and Cuyler both have a caring nature and hope the services they provide can provide the first step to healing. Cuyler graduated from The University of Akron, where he holds a master’s degree in Education- Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Cuyler is active in his community where serves on the board of directors for a local women’s shelter. Cuyler has a passion for helping others in need and serving his community. Cuyler and his wife, Babs, have 5 children and are active members in their church.
Bio-One of Akron OH is owned and operated locally by Cuyler and Babs Costanzo. Their office serves Akron OH and surrounding areas.

Hoarding is a behavioral pattern characterized by the excessive acquisition of and inability to discard large quantities of objects that cover the living areas of a home and cause significant distress or impairment.
Compulsive hoarding behavior has been associated with health risks, economic burdens, and adverse effects on personal relationships. When clinically significant enough to impair functioning, hoarding can prevent typical uses of space so as to limit basic daily activities like moving through the home, eating, and sleeping. It can also put people at risk due to increased risks of injury, fire, and disease.
Bio-One of Akron OH prioritize concern for the well being of our customers and their families, always following our slogan, “Help First, Business Second.” Bio-One of Akron OH soundly reject the business-first mindset of other companies who see people and their families asking for help as vulnerable and exploit the economic opportunity. Our primary goal is to help people improve their lives and begin the process of moving forward.
Bio-One of Akron OH sets itself apart from other hoarding cleanup companies in four distinct ways:
Bio-One of Akron OH come to give on-site estimates, never blind, inflated estimates over the phone. This allows us to give an accurate estimate and scope of work.
Bio-One of Akron OH do not give bait & switch quotes. Unlike other companies that lowball their estimates and then ratchet the price up as the job progresses, our experience and expertise allows us to give accurate estimates that reflect what the job will cost.
Bio-One of Akron OH are truly a local company, the owners and employees all call the Akron OH area home, too. Other companies take your call from outside our community, and then subcontract your job out to some workers who are neither hoarding specialists nor trained professionals. Many times the contracting company does not even know the subs they have hired.
Bio-One of Akron OH respond to a hoarding cleanup request immediately because we are locally based. We're not heading into the area, we're already here.
Bio-One of Akron OH goes to great lengths to ensure your privacy and our discretion. For starters, we use unmarked vehicles and we don’t suit up outside whenever possible. We’re also good at gently, but firmly, shooing away nosy neighbors and we don’t answer their probing questions.
Yes. Bio-One of Akron OH offers a regularly-scheduled maintenance program where Bio-One of Akron OH return to the residence or property after the initial cleanup and perform follow up services to ensure that it remains in the state it was when we completed the job.
